This won’t clutter up your room, but will still create a homey, cozy feel. If you have one or two meaningful photos, then why not get them printed on a canvas. Rather than filling up the wall with lots of huge frames and other artwork, stick to a few pieces that are really meaningful to you. This will make your room feel so much bigger and cleaner. Having a bulky desk, bulky nightstands, a bulky dresser and bed, doesn’t exactly scream minimalist, does it? First, try to eliminate any unnecessary furniture (nightstands take up a bunch of space, so do bulky desks) and replace it with more simple, clean substitutes (you could repaint an old school desk to replace a bulky wooden desk). Besides, if you ever decide to change your room, you can just add new accents instead of replacing everything.Įliminate unnecessary furniture, especially if it’s bulky.
